ABOUT FOUND.

A note on noticing.

For those who find themselves looking a little longer.

A note from Found.

There are things that ask to be noticed.

An old door whose timber has softened with time. The particular light of a place visited years ago. A bowl shaped by someone's hands. A sentence in a book that quietly rearranges the way the world is seen.

Found. began with a fascination for these things.

Not necessarily the rare or remarkable, but the things that seem to hold something -- evidence of craftsmanship, memory, place, intention.

In a world that encourages us to move quickly, this is a place for looking a little longer.

At objects and the hands that may have made them. At buildings and the lives that may have passed through them. At landscapes that somehow become part of our own history. At ideas worth carrying forward.

Some things are found while travelling. Others on an ordinary afternoon, close to home. Some have histories that can be traced. Others leave only clues, inviting imagination.

Perhaps that is part of their beauty.

Found. is an ongoing collection of these discoveries — objects, places, landscapes, details and moments — and the stories, questions and reflections they inspire.

A reminder that a beautiful life may not require constantly searching for something new.

Sometimes, it simply asks us to notice what is already there.
